Think DigitallyThink Digitally

We love our digital gadgets so much that some of us can’t imagine living without them, but what happens when the power goes out? Even worse, what happens when the power stays out for an extended period of time and your batteries die?

This site was created with that in mind. Here you will find valuable information and products that will not only enhance your digital world, but will help you prepare for having to do without.

Carry a Hard Copy

In an instant, without warning, we could find ourselves in the dark with no electricity and our digital devices inoperable. If the bad guys get lucky and detonate a nuclear device at just the right altitude, or if the sun throws off some unusually powerful solar activity, the result would be an electromagnetic pulse (EMP). An EMP would be devastating. As James Carafano of The Heritage Foundation explains:

“Communications would collapse, transportation would halt, and electrical power would simply be nonexistent. Not even a global humanitarian effort would be enough to keep hundreds of millions of Americans from death by starvation, exposure, or lack of medicine. Nor would the catastrophe stop at the U.S. borders. Most of Canada would be devastated, too, as its infrastructure is integrated with the U.S. power grid. Without the American economic engine, the world economy would quickly collapse. Much of the world’s intellectual brain power (half of it is in the United States) would be lost as well. Earth would most likely recede into the “new” Dark Ages.”

As alarming as this may sound it’s not the intention of this site to cause fear or panic, but rather simply instill awareness to readers that one day we may find ourselves without the degital tools we depend on. Therefor readers are encouraged to use their digital devices to gather information and resources in order to be prepared for the unexpected.
