DigitalThinkerAbout DigitalThinker

After returning from the jungles of Honduras, where I spent six months as a Joint Task Force Army Communications Officer,  I was sent to Fort Leavenworth. Not as an inmate, but as a student to attend an Army Officer school that I like to refer to as a polishing school of sorts.

We were schooled on the proper way to present briefings using Power Point to Generals. One of our requirements for our final presentation was to include a quote relative to our subject matter. I searched the Military quote archives  and found the one on my home page, “Think digitally but carry a hard copy”, it stuck. DigitalThinker was born.

After leaving Fort Leavenworth I was called up for Hurricane duty again in South Carolina and I couldn’t help but observe how ill prepared the general public is for disasters. Since then Katrina had her way with the poor people of New Orleans and the surrounding area.

I’m publishing this website to provide people with valuable information and products that will become very important when the unexpected happens. I’m not what you would call a full fledged prepper or survivalist, but I have started growing and canning vegetables, and storing up food. I finally realized how fragile our food distribution system is in America. If anything knocks out power or disrupts fuel distribution for a lengthy period of time, we will likely have serious problems. It’s best to be prepared.

I hope you find my site useful.
